Wilkes Booth was conceived in Hollywood California on the famed Sunset Strip back in 1992, performing regularly at famous nightclubs such as Gazzarri’s, The Roxy, The Whiskey, and The Troubadour. These clubs spawned acts such as Motley Crue, Van Halen, Guns ‘N’ Roses, and Poison. Wilkes Booth is an original act playing the same style as these bands. Wilkes Booth enjoyed brief airplay on KNAC in L.A. However, the music industry changed almost overnight & glitzy “Hair Metal” was no longer embraced by the music industry. Unwilling to change styles and compromise its integrity, the band moved to N.Y. Relentlessly continuing on, Wilkes Booth have performed for the past 14 years every weekend all over N.Y., attempting to revive the spirit of old “Hair Metal”. The band believes there’s still a market for this music, thanks in part to shows like VH1’s “Behind The Music,” Dee Snyder’s “House of Hair,” etc.

Wilkes Booth once again is in the prime position of regaining its chance to climb to the top of the heavy metal heap. With a sound from “Back in the Day” and two full length CD’s available, the line-up is Dave Wilkes Booth on guitars & vocals, frontman vocalist Bobby “Rocker” Fredericks, Michael Fittos on drums, and Bryan Juda on bass. See the last of the “Dirty Rock Bands” live.
